About Me
Hello! I’m Sarah, thank you for visiting my page, here’s a little about me:
I first found yoga in 1998 at the age of 17, it changed my life. It was the last pose at the end of every class that really got me, Sivasana in Sanskrit which translates to corpse pose. It was the first time I experienced the grace of just being. No agenda, no expectations, just being and breathing. A sense of calm I had never really felt, It was profound.
Many years later, here I am, still practicing and still learning.
Yoga has helped me beyond words and it is my desire to help others. I know I’m not the only one that experiences the array of uncomfortable human emotions from fear to anxiety and depression and I know I’m not he only one with childhood trauma. I am grateful for this path and how it has benefitted my life and the privilege to share it, I believe we rise together.
I am passionate about yoga and its ability to center the mind and provide a framework to live a conscious life while minimizing suffering.
My curiosity has brought me to study many different modalities of yoga, including Traditional Hatha Yoga, Kundilini, Sound healing, Breathwork, Yin Yoga, Restorative and Barre. I received my first Yoga Teacher Training through the Sivananda Vedanta Center in Northern California in 2009.
In 2010 I recieved my first Thai Massage from Janice Ganagon, and once again my life was changed. I was immediately in love with Thai Massage, I had always loved massage but this combines yoga and massage. I was in heaven! I immediately signed up for Janice’s next training and my Thai Massage journey began.
I studied Thai Massage extensively at Spirit Winds School of Thai Massage in Northern California. In 2023 I made my first trip to Thailand with my teacher and other students. There we studied womb lifting, a protocol for womb and uterus health.
I feel that Yoga and Thai Massage complement each other so well, and I truly love my work and the opportunity to help people feel better in their body, mind, and spirit.
Besides sharing my passion for yoga and bodywork I love travel and adventure! I was certified as a Dive Master in 2019, I train Jiu Jitsu and hold a purple belt, I love surfing and riding my motorcycle. I currently live in Costa Rica with five dogs and a cat.
Nature has been one of my most profound teachers and the wilderness is always calling me back to continue to explore the landscapes of my internal and external world.
